“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, ‘Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.’ I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”

 Carl R. Rogers

Individual Therapy

I work one-on-one to help those suffering from anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, cancer, life transitions, Latine experiences, first-gen and immigrant experiences; those struggling with the responsibilities of being community activists and leaders, internalized oppression and racism, and BIPOC mental health.

My style

My approach is grounded in existential analysis and is abundance-oriented, compassionate, and collaborative. I support you in starting where you are—developing inner consent, living more authentically, and clarifying how you want to engage with the realities and challenges of your life.

I understand that our experiences are not only psychological but also embodied. Much of what we endure, avoid, or carry is held within the body, which is why body awareness is an important part of my work.

I view our work together as a shared commitment. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I work best with individuals who are willing to honestly confront difficulties, engage their inner capacity to endure, and participate actively in creating meaningful change.

I especially enjoy working with women, young adults, and the Latinx and Queer communities.

What to expect

The fact of the matter is, there will always be bumps in the road—big and small. Together, we’ll explore how to navigate and engage with the bigger challenges in your life, while also learning how to respond more intentionally to everyday stressors. We’ll do this by exploring therapeutic approaches that best support you and align with how you want to live your life.

We’ll focus on cultivating mindfulness and moments of joy, while also exploring how conscious, subconscious, and unconscious influences shape your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. Because our experiences are not only mental but also deeply embodied, body awareness may be part of our work as well.

As our time together progresses, you can expect to develop a deeper understanding of your internal world, a stronger sense of self-trust and inner consent, and the ability to move through life with more grounded presence—even in the face of difficulty.

Feel more connected to your inner self, not just your thoughts but to your heart and body as a whole.

You can count on me to show up to each session with an authentic and genuine openness for what you’re experiencing that day. I aim to build a healthy therapeutic relationship with you so that I can get to know you for who you are as a unique individual.
