“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, ‘Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.’ I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”

 Carl R. Rogers

Individual Therapy

I work one-on-one to help those suffering from anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, cancer, life transitions, Latine experiences, first-gen and immigrant experiences; those struggling with the responsibilities of being community activists and leaders, internalized oppression and racism, and BIPOC mental health.

My style

My approach is abundance-oriented, compassionate, and designed to help you start where you are—discovering your inner joy and meaning in life by identifying the changes you wish to see.

Understanding that our experiences are not just of the mind but are also physical, and often held deep within our bodies, is why I focus on body awareness as well.

I envision our time together as a collaborative effort to get you to where you want to go. This is why I love working with people who are fully committed to doing the work necessary to create real change in their life.

I especially enjoy working with women, young adults, and the Latinx community. I am LGBTQIA-affirming.

What to expect

The fact of the matter is, there will always be bumps in the road—big and small. Together we’ll determine how to best manage and cope with the big things while learning how to navigate daily stressors as well. We’ll do this by exploring therapy methods that work best for you.

We’ll enlist the cultivation of joy, mindfulness, and explore how the subconscious and unconscious forces influence your behavior, thoughts, and emotions.

As our time progresses, you should expect to gain a better understanding of your feelings, a greater sense of confidence and self-trust, and move with more grounded mindfulness.

Feel more connected to your inner self, not just your thoughts but to your heart and body as a whole.

You can count on me to show up to each session with an authentic and genuine openness for what you’re experiencing that day. I aim to build a healthy therapeutic relationship with you so that I can get to know you for who you are as a unique individual.
